Dr. Wang Lihu is a Chief Physician (主任医师) in the Department of Reproductive Health and Infertility at Guangdong Women and Children Hospital, a Grade III-A (三甲) hospital in Guangzhou, China. He holds a Master of Medicine degree and has worked in clinical and laboratory urology and andrology for more than 30 years.

In 2000, he completed advanced training in assisted reproductive technology (ART) at the Shanghai Ji Ai Genetics & IVF Institute and the Genetics & IVF Institute (GIVF) in the United States. Since 2005, he has served as an appointed review expert for the accreditation and verification of human assisted reproductive technology programs on behalf of China's (former) Ministry of Health and the Guangdong Provincial Health Department, and has taken part in IVF and AID program reviews across Shanghai, Hunan, Hubei, Zhejiang, Shanxi, Henan, Tianjin, Anhui, and Hainan provinces, as well as AIH verification work in Guangdong.

His professional appointments include: Standing Council Member of the China Sexology Association; Chairman (first and second terms) of the Maternal and Child Health Andrology Branch of the China Sexology Association; Vice Chairman of the Reproductive Health Branch of the Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Care Association; Standing Committee Member of the Reproductive Immunology and Eugenics Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association; and Editorial Board Member of The Chinese Journal of Human Sexuality (《中国性科学》).

Clinically, Dr. Wang specializes in surgical sperm retrieval for azoospermia — including percutaneous testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) and microdissection testicular sperm extraction (micro-TESE) — as well as male immune infertility and oligoasthenoteratozoospermia. He has published more than 30 papers, including "Relationship Between Testicular Sperm Motility and ICSI Pregnancy Outcomes," has led multiple provincial- and ministerial-level research projects, and has served as editor-in-chief, associate editor, or contributing editor of seven books, including Sexual Health and Reproduction (《两性健康与生殖》), Fertility in Advanced-Age Men (《高龄男性生育》), and New Advances in Basic and Clinical Research of Male Reproduction (《男性生殖基础与临床研究新进展》). He is a recipient of the 5th "Yangcheng Good Doctor" award in Guangzhou.
